About Me
Born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1979, I grew up with two amazing parents, but my dad — a hobbyist astronomer in the Memphis Astronomical Society — had telescopes, lenses, and the occasional camera that he taught me how to use. Now and then, the camera would have film still inside, and I’d take pictures of whatever was happening around me: school events, friends, just everyday life. I didn’t think much of it back then, but those snapshots turned into small pieces of my history. I’ve always been the guy who kept his yearbooks and I guess I’ve always been drawn to capturing moments in some way.
As I got older, my love for photography simmered quietly while I explored other things — like music. I spent a few years DJing before joining the U.S. Army, where I served overseas twice and found a deep appreciation for discipline, purpose, and perspective. Somewhere in between, I bought my first real camera — a Nikon D5100 — and dove headfirst into the world of photography. YouTube became my classroom. Late nights learning about light, composition, and the art of patience became part of who I was. Eventually, I upgraded my gear, but I learned early that it’s never the equipment that makes a great photo — it’s the moment you capture.
In recent years, life has changed a lot. I’ve been working in Saudi Arabia, which kept me away from photography for quite some time. In March 2025, I lost my wife of 13 years, Kristen — my best friend and the heart of my world. Her passing changed everything. The first page of this site is dedicated to Kristen and most of the memories we shared together with familly and friends. “Goodnight My Queen, I love you and miss you so much! xoxoxox”
I’ll slowly find my way back behind the lens. I may not shoot as often as I used to, but the passion is still there — quietly waiting for the right light, the right story, the right moment.
Most of my prints I order through the website below.
They provide canvas and glass prints that are phenomenal! Check them out!
